Virgin Media Gamepad
In 2023, we brought together the Virgin Media and O2 brands by creating the UK’s ultimate gaming destination at The O2.
We worked with our agency partner to launch Virgin Media Gamepad – a permanent gaming studio offering a unique, immersive gaming experience, powered by Virgin Media’s ultrafast broadband.
Underpinned by a gaming toolkit, I worked on all the copy outputs across this project, from naming and positioning to campaign assets and the launch event.
Gamepad spans across three floors, making the stairwell a huge part of the experience. We’ve turned it from a dead space into a fun brand moment, making people smile while showing gamers that we speak their language.
First up, we have The Cave – named for the kind of space gamers wish they had at home. Kitted out with the best tech, it’s a place to camp out, hide away and game to the max with your squad.
The Stage is a dedicated streaming studio for the very best talent in the gaming industry to stream live, in partnership with Outside Xbox.
On our top floor, we have The Playground where anyone can rock up and play. We’ve hidden loads of easter eggs and fun touches throughout for gamers to discover.
